Frequently Asked Questions About Graduation

Contact your school coordinator for your school's specific graduation date and venue. 

You will need to purchase your cap, gown, and tassel. Cap, gown, and tassel need to be black and the graduation year on your tassel needs to be gold. You can purchase these online at Amazon. Pay attention to the sizing and try on your gown prior to the day of graduation to make sure it fits. MBA will provide all cords, stoles, and medals based on what you have earned during your high school career. 

We recommend Sunday best. Ladies can wear dresses, pantsuits, or slacks. Gentlemen can wear a button up shirt, slacks, or nice jeans. 

Yes, you can! Please keep it respectful. It is suggested to write your name in your cap so you can locate yours after the ceremony. 

If you and your family would like to pay for senior pictures, you are more than welcome to. We do not require it. You can submit any picture you would like to your school for the yearbook. 

While we can't make you attend, you do encourage you to do so. 

Practice is mandatory. Plan on having graduation practice the day of your graduation. Your school coordinator will let you know the time. Typically, it will be roughly 1-2 hours prior to the event depending on the school. 

Yes!!! We use that form to prepare for the ceremony as well as to provide you with the cords, etc. that you have earned. 

Please check with your school coordinator so they can verify with the venue. We do not have an issue with these items, but they can only be brought in if the venue allows them. 

You can bring as many individuals as you would like. Please be aware that many venues have occupancy limits. Many seats are first come, first serve. Also, check with your coordinator because if seating is limited, they might have a section set aside for student's immediate family. 

Yes, you can. If the awarding party would like to present it, let us know or they can send us the award and we can present it. If you have received special graduation regalia, then you can wear that as well. 

Please check with your school coordinator to see if either of these options will be available for your campus. 

We will do our best to give you a few minutes grace if we know that you are close to the venue but we cannot hold the entire ceremony if you are late. You are welcome to join in as soon as you make it!
